Claiming Back UK Tax
Home-bru says:
Claiming back UK Tax when leaving the UK not only means money in your pocket
but pay back time for all the cold and rainy days!!
Upon leaving the UK, you might be able to claim a tax refund from the UK Revenue Service.
A tax refund is a repayment of tax that you have overpaid during the last tax year. The annual tax (PAYE) is calculated on an annual basis. So when you leave during the tax year, you most likely will be able to claim a refund. The tax year in the UK is from the 6th of April until the 5th of April in the following year.
If you are returning to South Africa, it is still possible to claim your tax back once you have left the UK
