A Good Example of S.A. Hospitality
My brother and his girlfriend came to visit recently and incorporated a trip up the garden route. They took my car for the week and based themselves in Wilderness whilst touring the area.
When they left the Cango caves they discovered that the car would not start, they were completely stranded.
Luckily one of the staff members there knew a garage owner (Pete) and called him to take the car away. Pete came to collect the car as well as Richard and Nadia.
He brought the car to the garage and dropped them off at his family home where they were treated to a braai and filled with booze.
Pete worked on the car from 6.00 to 9.00 that night until it was back up and running. By that stage the entire party was quite drunk and so Rich and Nadia were put up in the guesthouse on the farm free of charge.
They said it was a wonderful and memorable night and they were treated like family by Pete and Co.
